So who the hell is this Sebastian Loader guy anyway?
Artiste, clown or revolutionary.
Seb is a freelance furniture creator with a vision to fashion a cutting edge, sustainable furniture company that empowers individuals to live a happy life and form a healthy planet. You could describe Seb as a laid back entertainer with a plan to make a positive difference.

Ok I’ve had it with pumping my own tires with this 3rd person angle.
After much globetrotting, intertwined with crammed study, I found myself with big dreams for global change and working very much ground level for a local furniture company.
I considered working there long-term for the love of the timber designs and the customer satisfaction witnessed when happy people left the store.
I then started to consider how I could mix what I treasured about the furniture business with my dreams for a brighter future for our planet. This led me to much reading about sustainability and how this notion can be translated into the running of a furniture business.
Then it happened… I had a plan. I was going to implement a triple bottom line business model where the success of the business isn’t only based on monetary profits, but on the wellbeing of the people involved and the environmental impact of manufacturing my designs.
After quitting my job I gathered all the information I could and headed by bus to Java in search of recycled timber and people who shared my beliefs. Without any idea of where to go and a very limited understanding of the language, I had a big challenge in front of me.

As luck would have it I made a good friend on the bus who shared some vital information, and even offered to come with me. I jumped at the opportunity. Why not? Numerous trips followed where new information was gathered but nothing that matched my sustainable business model.
Then I met my man. He too wanted to make a positive change so we focused on using reclaimed teak from uninhabited Dutch style housing.
The next few months involved refining my designs, and checking on their progress during frequent visits to the factory, ending in helping to load the container with our staff and proudly watching it leave for Australia.
I now operate from a warehouse/showroom in O’Connor, Perth and look forward to a bright happy future
